Dry cough is common in winters. Obviously will be hard to remove from lungs. Ayurveda offers Chayawanprash.
(Note – The hand-made Chayawanprash by a Vaidya, if organic gur is incorporated in it, even diabetics can take it, no sugar raised).
If Chayawanprash is not effective, add Trikatu. Still no ? Add Abrak Bhasm Sahasraputi in Trikatu. Still not ? Further add Shring Bhasm in the above mixture. Also suck Byoshadi vati. One must step – remove constipation by Panchsakar Churn, etc. We have to convert dry cough into wet cough then remove it. All the above are for that purpose. Once water starts coming in nose, sign of this done. Now take honey + ginger juice mixed in equal amount – the best cough syrup for wet cough.

ASTHMA – Dry Cough
Symptoms—The beginning of asthma is from cough. wheezing sound and erratic breathing attacks. Normally morning at times, sometimes it occurs at other times also. Cough is hard with a foul smell and is string like. Asthma is of two types.
(1) Bronchial Asthma—the bronchial tubes shrink. causing difficulty in breathing.
(2) Cardiac Asthma—In this the heart becomes weak hence the heart does not circulate sufficient quantity of blood. So oxygen received is also less. By pulling breath the face of the patient appears red due to the strain. This is common among men.
Causes-Dried up cough due to medication and erratic eating habits, impure air, mental tension, fear, anger, defect in the blood, use of intoxicating products, cough and cold, copulating during cough and cold, heavy food, chilly and spices, fried food products and dust can cause asthma.
Treatment—One day fast on lemon juice and honey. water. For a week, be on fast on juices and soups of green. vegetables, coconut water, white pumpkin iuice, cabbage. juice, carrot beetroot juice, grapes juice, doob (a kind of grass). Juice wheat grass juice are very effective. Then for two weeks take uncooked diet (only fruits salads and sprouted food). Thereafter take normal food and stay away from heavy food.
Take soaked methi seeds and drink the water with a litle honey mixed in it.
Do not take milk or milk products. If necessary take soyabean or sesame milk. Juice of basil leaves and ginger be taken with honey.
A. spoonful triphala with lemon juice and water be taken. One cup of hot water with honey is recommended.
Asthma patients should have their dinner early, and. should have a glass of hot water before going to sleep. Steam. of water boiled with carom seed (aiwain) in it is very effective.
MAIN AYURVEDIC TREATMENT (Bronchial) – Swas Kuthar Ras, Tankam Bhasm, Phal Kalyan Ghrit.
MAIN AYURVEDIC TREATMENT ( Cardiac) – Prabhakar vati with Arjun chaal decoction in milk+water, Swarn Jawahar Mohra.
NATUROPATH TREATMENT -. Abdomen mud pack and enema, chest pack, steam. bath is very useful. Spinal cord be massaged. Behind the. chest on the back have a massage of mustard oil mixed with. camphor in a warm but airy room. When the asthmatic attack is at its peak then one should . change the breathing (swar) and take hot foot bath.
Yoga- Nadi shodhan, kapal bhati, without retention pranayama, uddivan bandh, mahamudra, breathing exercises gomukhasan, matsyasana, uttanamandookasana. uttankoormasana, ashvathasana, chakrasana, shalabhasana makarasana, yogmudrasana, bhujang asana, dhanurasana etc. be practised.
